Ever been amped to experience the thrills and spills of box cart racing?

Well now’s your chance, with the next South African Red Bull Box Cart Race rolling into Soweto!

All over the globe, wannabe racers and speed freaks have been putting together DIY carts since they were old enough to toyi-toyi. We’re calling on all wannabe Sheckters to mix creativity with a dash of speed and plenty of vooma to build their own human powered box cart.

In September 2010, 70 teams will get the green light to appear on the starting line. In the high-speed chase for fame and glory, teams will dice the clock on their way into the Hall of Fame. Your friends and family can enjoy the smell of burning rubber, first hand, along the 500m track, which will be custom built for spectacular racing action.

It’s time to get creative, eKasi style, and pit your ingenuity and mad skills against the 69 other teams...

Teams will take to the hill to race their way into the Red Bull Box Cart Race history books. If this sounds like your kind of challenge and you think you’ve got what it takes to assemble a mind-blowing ride from scratch, now is the time to start planning and designing your wheels!

Just remember that entries close on the 2nd of July, so make sure you sign up for an entry kit and send it back to us signed, sealed and delivered before D-Day.
